\nVincent Larderet\u2019s eclectic repertoire stretches from Scarlatti to Boulez, who played an important role in the Romantic period, French music and the 20th century. He also ardently favours lesser-performed composers such as Barber, Berg, Falla, Schmitt, Scriabin, and Szymanowski. In 2007 he performed a series of recitals dedicated to Beethoven and especially distinguished himself with the\u00a0\u00ab<\/em>Hammerklavier\u00bb<\/em>\u00a0Opus 106<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Opus 111 Sonatas<\/em>. He also participated in the complete live recording of Beethoven’s\u00a032<\/em>\u00a0Sonatas<\/em>\u00a0for the DVD set released by Piano Passion. Internationally\u00a0celebrated as a Ravel specialist, he worked in Paris with Carlos Cebro, who passed on to him the stylistic tradition of Vlado Perlemuter and studied Ravel\u2019s complete works on Perlemuter\u2019s personal scores annotated during his collaboration with the composer. Mr. Larderet is also used to performing both of the 2 Ravel\u00a0Concertos<\/em>\u00a0during the same concert. He completed his training at the National Conservatory of Music in Rueil-Malmaison, where he won the \u201cVirtuosity Prize\u201d, and graduated from L\u00fcbeck\u2019s Musikhochschule in Germany with the famous pianist Bruno-Leonardo Gelber. At the same time, Vincent was a prize-winner in several international piano competitions, including Maria Canals of Barcelona, A.M.A. Calabria (Italy, under the jury chairman of Lazar Berman), and the Brest International Piano Competition (France, under the honorary presidency of Vlado Perlemuter). He was also a beneficiary of the \u201cOrpheum Foundation for the Advancement of Young Soloists\u201d in Switzerland. When it comes to shaping his interpretations, he is committed to a musicological approach, studying and analysing music history, particularly with his father, the late Pierre Larderet, Doctor in Musicology. The SACD-CD of the 2 Ravel\u00a0Piano Concertos<\/em>\u00a0was hailed by\u00a0Fanfare<\/em>\u00a0magazine as \u00abamong the best recordings of the year\u201d, while\u00a0Klassik Heute<\/em>\u00a0declared it\u00a0\u201cthe only relevant performance that could exist alongside the reference recordings of Michelangeli and Zimerman.\u201d The Debussy album stands out as one of the recording events of 2018 in tribute to the composer’s centenary.\u00a0The Scriabin Mystery<\/em>\u00a0recording dedicated to the composer’s 150th anniversary was released in 2022 by AVIE Records.
